SCE25C120 Description

SCE25C120 is a high-performance silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) device, an important member of the semiconductor switching element family. Silicon controlled rectifier, also known as thyristor, is a four-layer three-terminal semiconductor device with the characteristics of high efficiency, high reliability and long life.

Working Principle

When the trigger conditions are met, its PNPN structure will conduct to achieve the control of AC load. When the external trigger signal is applied to the gate, the thyristor enters the conduction state from the cut-off state, thereby driving the AC load. Since it is a bidirectional conduction device, it can conduct in both the positive and negative half cycles, which is suitable for AC control applications.
