The TYN625 is a 600V,25A silicon-controlled rectifier with a standard TO-220A package ,designed for medium-power switching applications. It features reliable triggering, robust surge current capabilities, and is widely used in AC switching, light dimmers, motor control, heating regulation systems, and other industrial or consumer power electronics.

Working Principle

When the trigger conditions are met, its PNPN structure will conduct to achieve the control of AC load. When the external trigger signal is applied to the gate, the thyristor enters the conduction state from the cut-off state, thereby driving the AC load. Since it is a bidirectional conduction device, it can conduct in both the positive and negative half cycles, which is suitable for AC control applications.
