SD103CWS Description

SD103CWS is a surface mount Schottky barrier diode in a sod-323 package. It is a high performance miniaturized electronic component that is widely used in power management, signal processing and high-speed switching circuits of modern electronic equipment.

Technical Parameters

  • Maximum reverse voltage (VRRM): 20V
  • Average forward rectified current (IFM): 350mA
  • Peak forward surge current (IFSM): 150mA
  • Forward voltage drop (VF): Typical 0.37V (at IF=20mA)
  • Reverse leakage current (IR): Maximum 5μA (at VR=30V)
  • Junction capacitance (Cj): Typical 50pF (at VR=0V, f=1MHz)
  • Operating temperature range: -50°C to +150°C

Features and Advantages

  • Low power consumption design: The low forward voltage drop brought by the Schottky structure significantly reduces the conduction loss and improves the system energy efficiency.

Applications

  • Power input reverse protection:Connecting SD103CWS in series at the DC power input can effectively prevent circuit damage caused by reverse power connection.
  • Switching power supply rectification/freewheeling:As a rectifier or freewheeling diode in a DC-DC converter, it has excellent conversion efficiency and thermal characteristics.
  • High-speed signal clamping and protection:Suitable for high-speed digital interfaces such as USB, UART, SPI electrostatic protection and clamping circuits.
  • Small portable devices:Suitable for low-voltage battery-powered systems such as wearable devices, Bluetooth modules, etc., saving space and reducing power consumption.

Notes

Although Schottky diodes have the advantages of fast response and low forward voltage drop, the reverse leakage current is relatively large, especially at high temperatures, so attention should be paid to heat dissipation design and working environment.

During use, ensure that the maximum reverse voltage and average forward current are not exceeded to avoid device breakdown or thermal runaway.
