The SP1045 is a high-performance Schottky barrier rectifier in a TO-277B package,designed for low voltage, high frequency inverters, DC-DC converters, and freewheeling applications. With a forward current rating of 10A and a reverse voltage of 45V, this device offers excellent efficiency thanks to its low forward voltage drop and fast switching performance.

Working Principle

The working principle of Schottky diode is different from that of conventional PN junction diode. Schottky diode uses metal-semiconductor contact instead of PN junction. This structure makes Schottky diode have lower forward voltage and faster switching response.
