SIM
Build Semiware into your application circuit
Summary
The SIM card is located at the edge of the device shell. Users frequently plug and unplug the card. Static electricity from the human body can easily be transmitted to the SIM card contacts through fingers. The interface of the SIM card (such as VCC, CLK, RST, I/O) is directly connected to the pins of the main control chip or baseband chip. The internal ESD protection capability of these ICs is limited (generally only 2~4kV) and cannot withstand the static shock in real scenes, so static protection must be done well.
